Veteran Washington winemaker Mike Januik has been making Columbia Valley wines since 1983. In 1999, he left Chateau Ste. Michelle after 10 years as head winemaker there to establish Januik Winery. At the same time he began consulting for Stillwater Creek Vineyard, sharing the Alberg family’s vision that the next leap in Washington wine quality would come through clonal selection. Mike holds a master’s degree in enology from University of California, Davis. He is also Novelty Hill’s consulting winemaker.
